Online Offertory Policy and Procedures
The Sunday Offering Online donation page allows for any parishioner in the Archdiocese of Vancouver to support their own parish online through weekly or monthly contributions made by credit card or direct debit. This online page was created and is maintained by the Archdiocese Development Office. The Sunday Offering Online Portal can be found at www.rcav.org/sunday-offering.
Donations Processing
Donations are processed by the Archdiocese Development Office according to the payment frequency and method selected by the donor.
➢ Weekly Offerings are processed once weekly
➢ Monthly Offerings are processed at the beginning or middle of each month as selected by the donor.
Disbursement of Funds
Donated funds, less fees which are outlined below, are reconciled and disbursed directly to Parish Chancery Accounts by the Archdiocese Finance Office.
➢ Funds disbursed to Parish Chancery Account at the beginning of each month for previous month’s donations
➢ Fees will be deducted before disbursed to parishes and are structured as follows:
• Credit Cards 2.598% + $0.26 per transaction
• Direct Debit 0.9%
Donor Detail Reports
Monthly donor detail reports will be provided by the Archdiocese Development Office for parish office use and records.
➢ Microsoft Excel Donor Detail Reports will be emailed to parish offices at the beginning of each month for their previous month’s donations
➢ Donor Detail Report will include:
• Donor contact information (as provided by the donor)
• Donor envelope number (if applicable)
• Donation amount
• Fees
• Net Amount
➢ Import instructions and training will be provided for parish staff
IMPORTANT: Please note, tax receipts will not be issued by the Archdiocese of Vancouver. Parishes to include online donation amounts in the year-end parish tax receipts.
